We are offering this home as a place of retreat and especially for the work and fellowship of small groups. It is a place of rest, reflection, friendship, study, discussion, worship, and prayer.

We welcome the Judeo-Christian, educational, and charitable communities. We require that their retreat programs not conflict with our vision and that their sponsoring organizations be tax-exempt. La Hacienda is reserved for adults only. It is tv, smoke, and alcohol-free but wheel-chair friendly.

Fees

La Hacienda can accommodate six to sixteen guests overnight. Three meals are provided. The cost is $100 per person for the first day and $75 per person per day thereafter.

We can accommodate forty guests for day meetings, one or two meals provided. The cost starts at $200 per day plus $8 to $15 per person per meal.

An application and an agreement are available on this website. You may complete, sign, and mail us one of each. Be sure to fill in the FEIN and include a copy of the State of Illinois (or other) tax exemption certificate from the sponsoring church or organization. And please keep a copy of the agreement for yourself.

The program for your retreat will be reviewed by the foundation directors. We ask that it not conflict with our vision. When we can confirm arrangements for your retreat, we will call you. Thereupon, in order to reserve the desired dates, we will need a non-refundable deposit in the amount of one-third of the anticipated cost for your group.

We will then send you a confirmation and receipt. We will also send specifics of the accommodations and directions to La Hacienda.

At the time of your arrival, any balance will be due.

Seven days before your retreat, you will need to confirm the number of participants. It may be possible to accommodate additional people after that date, but it will not be possible to reduce the cost if fewer people come.

Each participant will be asked to sign a waiver of liability when arriving.

Scholarships are available. Please attach a written request, describing your circumstances and stating the amount you are able to pay. The directors will review your request and contact you in response.
