La Hacienda is a wonderful home built in 1926. The two-story living room is grand, with hand-stenciled wood beams, brightly colored floor tiles, and an enormous stone fireplace. A balcony overlooks this with three small bedrooms and two vintage baths. The sunroom is flush with an eighty-foot cliff. These rooms are filled with antiques of the mid-1800’s.
The kitchen has a charming old pantry and a sun deck. Meals are home-cooked and cookies freshly baked. A new bedroom wing accommodates ten guests. There is a tower with a library, a chapel, a stone terrace, and a chauffeur’s quarters.
The road is lined with huge old trees. A magnificent park is minutes away by foot.
Krape Park has hills and trees, a creek, a dam, and a waterfall, fishing and ice-skating, tennis courts and miniature golf, paddleboats and twin caves, a nature walk and a sledding hill, a band shell and Praise Concerts. The setting is glorious.
